Miley Ray Cyrus was born Destiny Hope Cyrus on November 23, 1992, in Franklin, Tennessee and raised in Thompson's Station, Tennessee to Tish Cyrus and Billy Ray Cyrus. Her siblings include two half brothers, a half sister, and an older sibling and brother. Her parents chose her name because they believed she could achieve greatness. Miley was her name in the early years because of the jovial nature of Miley. Ron Cyrus is her Democratic politician grandpa. Cyrus began her education at Heritage Elementary School. When she was of eight, Cyrus and her family moved to Toronto in Canada which is where Billy Ray, Cyrus's father played the role of Doc (2001) in TV. Cyrus began thinking about acting at this point. She acted alongside her father, Doc (2001), in the initial part of this film. She also scored a small role in Tim Burton's Big Fish (2003). Cyrus was the lead role for the character Hannah Montana (2006). The story revolves around an adolescent girl who is secretly a popstar. Her father also was on the show with her. The show was a smash and hits records, sell-out tours and deals with merchandising soon were followed. Cyrus quickly became a popular teenage star. Cyrus began to take on other roles following her success in the film Hannah Montana (2006). This included roles as Ronnie Miller (in The Last Song, 2010) and Lola (in LOL (2012)) as well as Demi Moor.
